This was one of the last recipes my father shared with me before he passed away. Poppy’s parents immigrated from Calabria, Italy in the early 1900’s. They settled in Indiana to raise a family of eleven. He grew up helping my Nonna bake and cook every night. Up until his passing, my 3 brothers and I would take our families over to his house every Sunday for a family dinner. Great Italian bread was always a staple!
